The Seebach GmbH under the management of Dr. rer. nat. Thomas Grimm-Bosbach started on 01.01.2019 together with the Institute PVT under the direction of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Hans-Joachim Schmid from the University of Paderborn a joint research project with the title ” Modelling of droplet aerosol phase separation by flow-through coalescence separators”. The overriding goal is to mathematically model the behavior of coalescence separators in dependence on material system-specific, operational and geometric influencing parameters and thus to be able to predict the separation efficiency and the pressure loss. The aim of the project is to develop a method for the optimized design of coalescence separators for fuel gas filtration upstream of gas turbines. The special feature of this project is the integration of both basic research and industrial application, which is already reflected in the participating parties.
The funding project falls under the energy research program “Research for an environmentally friendly, reliable and affordable energy supply” and is thus driving clean energy generation in Germany forward.
